ROOM Launches New Modular Meeting Rooms for the Modern Workspace

New York-based ROOM continues to reimagine the modern workspace with modular architectural solutions that give employees options for privacy. The startup just launched a trio of new designs – the Meeting RoomOpen Meeting Room, and the Focus Room – offering private spaces for focused work or collaboration, whether it’s in-person or virtual. The mini rooms allow businesses sustainable and flexible alternatives to fixed construction that costs less in the grand scheme of things.

With the global pandemic still affecting how and where we work, companies are seeking new, safer solutions that will allow workers back into the office. The modular pods can fit into any space and be used for just about any purpose as a business’ needs change over time, long after the pandemic ends, making them practical investments.

The Meeting Room is a private space with bench seating on either side and a wall-mounted table in the middle. Along with concentrated solo work, the pod is designed for group sessions and video conferencing calls within a comfortable, prefabricated structure. The acoustically insulated walls are made from recycled PET that’s engineered to reduce noise by 28dB, which means the meeting won’t be disturbing those surrounding the pod. Silent fans on the ceiling and hidden air inlets replenish the air every 60 seconds, something that’s essential for micro spaces. It’s outfitted with motion sensors that automatically turn those fans on/off, as well as LED lights, which can be set for focused work, presentations, or meetings. A custom rail holds accessories like coat hooks and shelves, and a built-in powerbox keeps cables from cluttering up the workspace, as well as offering wireless charging to keep devices charged.
