Luxxbox , a designer of acoustic and flexible workspace solutions, has released the Wedge ThoughtBoard, an agile whiteboard product that offers a myriad of possibilities for creativity and collaboration, to the North American market.
Designed to offer a place to think when and where it is needed the most, Luxxbox’s Wedge ThoughtBoard is as much a piece of designer furniture as it is a whiteboard. Its clean lines will not only bring style to any workspace but also provide a place for ideas and creativity to flow.
Completely customizable, the series comes in a variety of sizes and four different finishes including acoustic, pin-able, magnetic, and writable surfaces. “Whiteboards became commercially available in the 1960s and have since been at the center of almost every meeting room and education environment,” said Jason Bird, Founder and Creative Director of Luxxbox.
“We believe in quality products that positively contribute to their environments, which is why we decided to reimagine the traditional whiteboard into a collaborative furniture piece that simultaneously addresses aesthetics, acoustics, and agility.”
The highly-effective sound-absorbing panel, available in a choice of 20 colors, doubles as a pinboard and has a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of 0.85, reducing 85% of reverberations in open spaces. Underneath, the whiteboard surface, made from ceramic steel, offers superior re-writability and is also magnetic, supporting a host of organizational accessories such as a pen holder and pen shelf.
The interior is available in an oak veneer, black veneer or white finish with an optional internal or base storage tray. High-quality lockable castors are concealed to prevent tripping and enable fluid movement on all flooring surfaces.
The Wedge ThoughtBoard has short lead times, ships flat, and is easy to assemble in multiples to create straight or curved room dividers. The product is also the only GECA-certified (Good Environmental Choice Australia) agile whiteboard on the market. The sustainability and environmental eco-accreditation by GECA follows the International Organization for Standardization standard is also recognized by the Global Ecolabelling Network.
