Ethnicraft Makes NeoCon Debut

Ethnicraft, the Belgian furniture brand that specializes in contemporary and timeless wooden furniture, will be making their NeoCon debut June 10-12, 2019 on the 7th floor, booth #4073. Their latest collection features fresh interpretations of classic designs and brand-new items with interesting details and riveting characteristics. Sustainably sourced solid wood continues to play its part as the protagonist, which brings life to the balance between form and function for furniture that is truly lasting in both quality and design.

The Spring 2019 collection includes a range of tables, seating, and storage for residential and contract use.

The Nexus dining table, designed by Alain van Harve, offers a sense of serene movement and fluidity. The subtle transition from shape to shape, reinforced by a spontaneously drawn singular line, merges all elements together. This creates unity and a sense of movement. The Nexus dining table breaks apart and comes flat packed, making it easy to move and to pass down for generations. Available in two sizes, the table is made from solid French oak in a natural finish.

A graceful and gentle appearance describe the Profile dining table. Each part seems to gently rest on its supporting counterpart, giving the table a sense of visual lightness. While it appears delicate, the table is made from solid French oak and each element comes together to form a solid structure. Available in a natural finish that adds to the grace of the table. The Profile dining table is available in three sizes.

The Mikado dining table expands into two new shapes – round and oval. “The circular designs encourage conversation and interaction, making it easier to connect with everyone at the table.” says designer Alain van Havre about the new silhouettes. In its entirety, the dining table collection now comes in oval, round, and three rectangular sizes, providing the perfect option for socializing at family dinners or connecting in a conference room.

The Mikado table’s defining feature is its sculptural base. The collection expands even further into a round, oval, and rectangular coffee table, and round side table, allowing the design to shine in all shapes and sizes. The collection is made from solid French oak and comes in a natural finish.

Ethnicraft’s best-selling Bok dining chair now comes in an upholstered version. The chair’s appealing light look and solid construction are key elements of its success. A seat cushion now adds extra comfort and a new look to the iconic chair. Available in set colors, the Bok dining chair is available in a natural oak frame with cognac leather or dark brown fabric or in a black oak frame with black leather or grey fabric.

The DC collection, which launched in the fall with a dining chair, now rounds out with a bar stool and lounge chair. The collection is an exploration into new material for Ethnicraft beyond wood. An airy and angular metal silhouette forms the basis of this minimalistic design. The seat and backrest are made from upholstered foam for ultimate comfort. The bar stool is available in bar or counter heights, with or without a back. Both the bar stool and lounge chair are available in light grey.

The Stairs collection creates a unique sense of volume through angular composition. “Creating movement is like telling a story. With the Stairs collection, I wanted to break away from traditional static and immobile surfaces. When light in then added to the equation, the multi-faceted oak canvas creates even more depth by casting shadows.” says designer Alain van Havre about the collection. The Oak Stairs Rack uses multiple facets to create a unique sense of volume. Use a single rack or build out multiple units for a sculptured wall effect.
