Shaw Contract announced that two of its newest collections have been honored with Nightingale awards at this year’s Healthcare Design Expo. The Nightingale Awards honor new products that are exhibited at the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference in November. Haven received the gold award in the Carpet category and Natural Choreography received the silver award in the Flooring: Hard-Surface category.

Haven is a collection of modular carpet times designed to add the comforts and familiarity of a residential space to the contract market drawing inspiration from the singular qualities we associate with home – comfort, well-being, warmth, softness, and a profound sense of place. The collection is comprised of two distinct products – running line carpet tiles and custom carpet tiles. Haven's running line carpet tiles provide the tools to create a specific sense of place in an endless array of settings. Haven's custom line has the versatility to create a unique mood or style statement tailored to the spirit of any project. As an alternative to traditional broadloom, the custom line is offered exclusively in carpet tile. The products are particularly well-suited for any application, affording endless possibilities for dramatic compositions. Building off thirteen styles, designers can customize pattern and color and specify additional features such as Shaw's EcoLogix backing.

Natural Choreography is a collection of custom end-cut block wood and sheared marble floor surfaces which are signature interior elements for high-end commercial projects worldwide. This collection offers a unique and affordable solution for these luxurious materials that are often rare and expensive. In collaboration with renowned global design firm, Rockwell Group, Natural Choreography is available in Cut, an end-cut block wood visual, and Shear, a marble shear. These 18” x 18” LVT tiles are engineered with layered construction for enhanced durability, including a patented scratch-resistant top finish and a 20 mil wear layer that protects against premature aging in the most high-traffic environments.

Presented by Contract and Healthcare Design magazines in partnership with the Center for Health Design, the Nightingale Awards recognize contribution to the healthcare built environment through product design and innovation that contributes to healing. Named in honor of Florence Nightingale, and initiated by Contract magazine’s editors and The Center for Health Design’s founders in 1990, the Nightingale Awards recognize products that are juried by seasoned healthcare design professionals and healthcare facility managers.
